… Since last time  I posted my progress on the Grand Marquoir, but I have been a Disciplined Diva and stitched my block per week, here is the picture of my piece as it is today

I’m still on bed, Friday 23rd I’ll be having an small procedure and hopefully will improve my actual condition, at least i found a way to stitch while on bed so I’ve been able to finish several pieces as well as make progress in others, I’ll try to post them on Friday.

This is the first one “Our first 20 years” and as you can imagine I dedicated to my hubby on our 20th anniversary.
Este el el primer Sampler “Our first 20 Years” Nuestros primeros 20 anyos, y como se pueden imaginar se lo dedico a mi costillo en nuestro 20 aniversario.

I love my hubby even more today than when we got married 20 years ago, he is my better half, I just can not conceived my life without him. This is a picture of us a couple of weeks ago
Yo amo a mi costillo aun mas que cuando nos casamos 20 anyos atras, el es mi mejor mitad, sinceramente no concibo la vida sin el. esta es una foto de nosotros tomada un par de semanas atras.

In addition to the house I put in this sampler a lot of symbols that represent good things that we are grateful for in these first 20 years together
Ademas de la casa coloque en el sampler simbolos que representan las cosas por las que estamos agradecidos en estos primeros 20 anyos juntos.

Pomegranates surrounding the sampler since they represent fertility and abundance, Dove wishing a peaceful life, Duck because to have a long marriage you need to be a resourceful  person, flowers in general because the represent hope and Joy. Deers that represent unconditional love.
Granadas rodeando el marco del sampler dado que representan fertilidad y abundancia, Palomas que son deseos de una vida pacifica, Patos porque para estar casado por tanto tiempo necesitas ser una persona ingeniosa, flores en general porque representan amor y alegria. Venados que representan amor incondicional.

The sampler also includes one of my favorites phrases from a poem of Elizabeth Barret Browning and that will be used at the renewal of our vows.
El sampler incluye una de mis frases favoritas de un poema de Elizabeth Barret Browning y que la estare usando en nuestra renovacion de votos matrimoniales.

My second Sampler is dedicated to my family, I named “Spanish Tiles”
El segundo sampler se lo dedico a mi familia y se llama “Azulejos Españoles”

Model Stitched on 28 ct White Cashel with DMC Threads

Bands inspired on different Spaniard embroidery  styles are combined on this sampler, I transformed them into cross stitch  and colored with a Spanish flare.
Bandas inspiradas en distintos tipos de bordado español son combinadas en este sampler, transforme los motivos en punto de cruz y los coloree con un toque español.

The third sampler is dedicated to Love. It’s black like the Indian ink because love is indelible, with touches of red like the passion that love must have, enough to be noticed but not that much that blind the rest of your feelings. The word LOVE in Gold because is the must precious emotion in the world!
El tercer sampler esta dedicado al amor. Es negro com la tinta china porque el amor es indeleble, con toques de rojo como la pasion que el amor debe tener, suficiente para que de note, pero no tanto que ciegue tus otros sentimientos. La palabra AMOR en color oro porque es la emocion mas preciada del mundo!
