The girls of my forum will be finishing in three weeks and as soon as they are done I will show you their wonderful palettes. It’s amazing how much a piece can change and I encourage them to  put their personal’s touches, their results are gorgeous!!. I try to do at least once a year a teaching design for my girls but I can say that this is my favorite by far.
Las nenas de mi foro estaran terminando esta pieza en tres semanas y tan pronto la tengan hecha les mostrare sus maravillosas paletas. Es increible como cambia una pieza y yo las motivo a que pongan su propio toque en cada una. Al menos una vez al año trato de hacer un diseño para que practiquemos/aprendamos puntos especiales y este es por bastante my favorito.

Soon I will be posting gifts that I received ( expected and unexpected!!) as well as some blog prizes, The only thing that I’ll not post will be my cross stitch progresses because starting yesterday I’m dedicating all my cross stitch time exclusively to a very special project  that I have been working on the last three months and I hope I can show you on September first.
Pronto estare escribiendo acerca de algunos regalos que he recibido ( esperados e inesperados!!) asi como algunos premios dados a mi blos. Lo que no estare escribiendo en el proximo mes  es mis progresos en punto de cruz porque desde ayer estoy dedicando mi tiempo de bordado exclusivamente a un proyecto en el que he estado trabajando los ultimos tres meses y que espero poder mostrarles para el primero de septiembre

Mary Wigham SAL - week 7 and a free chart

I can’t believe that in two more weeks it will be done!! I know that I will be using additional time to  finish my personalization and the scrapbook , but the main cloth will be done. I don’t know if feel happy or sad. I’ve enjoyed this journey so much that for sure I’m going to miss her.
No puedo creer que en tan solo dos semanas Mary estara  lista. se que usare un tiempo adicional para terminar mi personalizacion asi como el scrapbook, pero la tela principal estara lista. No se si sentirme feliz o triste. He disfrutado tanto este camino que se que la extrañare

The main change that I did was the addition of my little creature. It was not easy to make up my mind. I wanted something that flows with the design, since Mary’s design reminds me a garden with all that flowers, birds and also an squirrel, I though that a butterfly it would be the perfect match. I replaced the bird in the medallion for  my butterfly and to design it I used as a base not a medallion Like I normally do, but one of the flowers in Mary’s Garden.
El cambio mayor que he hecho fue agregar mi pequeña criatura. No fue facil tomar una desicion. Queria algo que fluyera con el diseño, ya que Mary me recuerda un jardin con todas esas flores, aves e incluso una ardilla, pense que una mariposa seria una buena adicion. Reemplace el ave del medallon por la mariposita y para diseñarla no utilica un medallos como habitualmente hago sino una de las flores del jardin de Mary.

I still need to add the letters of DH’s Grandparents in the two empty spaces, they will be in their place in my next week picture.
Todavia tengo que bordar las letras que corresponden a las iniciales de los abuelos de mi esposo. Las podras ver en la foto de la semana proxima.

The Butterfly Chart is bellow this words, the complete medallion it’s not included. You will see  just the border to make it easier to place it on it.
El esquema de la mariposa esta debajo de estas palabras. El medallon completo no esta incluido, Solo los bordes para hacer facil el centrarla en el.

The Thing!!!!

Maybe I must say “The Things” LOL Under that name a group of friends (Marga, Rosa, Jemima, Alma, Esther, and myself) refer each other about the presents that we were preparing for the two new girls in our “family”. Since Esther and Alma received their baby’s “thing” there are not more secrets (almost LOL) and I can show you the pictures.
Quizas deberia decir “las cosas” jijiji. bajo ese nombre nos referiamos Marga, Rosa, Jemima, Alma, Esther y yo  a los regalos que estabamos preparando  para los dos nuevas nenas en nuestra “familia”. Ya que Esther y Alma  recibieron las “cosas” de sus bebas y no hay mas secretos ( casi) puedo mostrarles las fotos

Esther had a baby girl named Judith and we made for her a quilt for her crib. It was made with appliques and Rosa assembled it. Rosa has been a patchwork teacher for over 20 years and as you can see her finishing and technique are gorgeous. We were teasing Esther telling her that her “thing” was Winnie the Pooh stitched  in light pink (the two things that she dislikes the most!! LOL)
Esther tuvo una nena a la que llamo Judith y le hicimos un quilt para su cuna, utilizamos la tecnica de Applique y Rosa la armo. Rosa ha sido profesora de Patchwork por mas de 20 años  y puedes apreciarlo en su tuecnica y acabado, son perfectos!!. Estuvimos molestando a Esther diciendole que “la cosa” eran Winnies the Pooh  bordados en rosa palido ( dos cosas que le disgustan mucho jijiji)

The second “thing” was for Alma’s girl Paola. We teased Alma telling her that the motive will be Victorian Hats with real feathers and lot of dangerous small buttons that Baby Paola can pull out!! LOL
La segunda “cosa” fue para la beba de Alma Paola. Nos metiamos con Alma diciendole que el motivo de su regalo serian sombreros victorianos con plumas y monton de bottones chicos que baby Paola pudiese arrancar.

Alma had a baby boy a three years ago and she received by that time a quilt  Pic Here ( That Rosa assembled too)  we though in make something that coordinates  with it. Using the same Suzy’s Zoo charts this time we made crib accesories that coordinate, this is the result
Alma tuvo un varoncito tres años atras y ella recibio en aquel momento un quilt Foto aca (tambien elaborado por Rosa) asi que pensamos en hacer en su luigar algo que coordinara con el. Utilizando los mismo diagramas de Suzy’s Zoos esta vez hicimos accesorios que coordinaran aca esta el resultado.

There are two more “things” in process and we hope that the receivers enjoy them at least half that we enjoyed making it (and teasing them)
Hay aun dos “cosas” mas en proceso, solo esperamos que quien las reciba las disfrute tanto como nosotras disfrutamos haciendolas ( y molestandolas claro jijiji)

This section of Mary is very special to me, the letters I have added are of my two sisters.

Este fragmento de Mary es para mi muy especial, las letras que agrego en el son las de mis dos hermanas.

The first set of letters are  of my biological sister, I’m sorry it took us so long to get to know each other, accept each other, and discover how alike we are and how much we love each other.

El primer set de letras corresponden a mi hermana biologica,   lamento que hayamos esperado tanto tiempo para conocernos una a a la otra, aceptarnos mutuamente y descubrir lo mucho que nos parecemos y nos queremos.

The second set of letters are of my soul sister, my friend and confidant for more than 25 years, she who has been with me in moments of happiness as well as those of great sadness. I am so grateful for having such an amazing friend.

EL segundo set son las de mi hermana del alma, mi amiga y confidente por mas de 25 años, esa que ha estado conmigo en mis momentos de alegria asi como en los de mayor tristeza. Me siento tan agradecida de tener una amiga tan maravillosa

A giant kiss to both. I love you so much!!!!!
