The crustacean reference came from the television show “Friends.” (Which I am a freak of) On one of the many episodes when Ross and Rachel got back together, Phoebe declared, “He’s her lobster.” According to Phoebe, “It’s a known fact that lobsters fall in love and mate for life.” While there are plenty of animals that practice long-term monogamy, lobsters are not among them. (Sorry, Phoebe.) I still love that phrase and I would love the idea of me and my hubby as we get older like “an old lobster couple walking around our tank holding claws”
