My friend Nela is celebrating her b-day with a drawing!!

The girls of my forum will be finishing in three weeks and as soon as they are done I will show you their wonderful palettes. It’s amazing how much a piece can change and I encourage them to  put their personal’s touches, their results are gorgeous!!. I try to do at least once a year a teaching design for my girls but I can say that this is my favorite by far.
Las nenas de mi foro estaran terminando esta pieza en tres semanas y tan pronto la tengan hecha les mostrare sus maravillosas paletas. Es increible como cambia una pieza y yo las motivo a que pongan su propio toque en cada una. Al menos una vez al año trato de hacer un diseño para que practiquemos/aprendamos puntos especiales y este es por bastante my favorito.

Soon I will be posting gifts that I received ( expected and unexpected!!) as well as some blog prizes, The only thing that I’ll not post will be my cross stitch progresses because starting yesterday I’m dedicating all my cross stitch time exclusively to a very special project  that I have been working on the last three months and I hope I can show you on September first.

Lo que no estare escribiendo en el proximo mes  es mis progresos en punto de cruz porque desde ayer estoy dedicando mi tiempo de bordado exclusivamente a un proyecto en el que he estado trabajando los ultimos tres meses y que espero poder mostrarles para el primero de septiembre

May Progress

I was able to stitch a lot last couple of weeks. So I can show you my progress today.  Let’s start with My specialty stitches SAL
Me fue posible bordar mucho en las dos ultimas semanas. asi que hoy puedo al fin mostrar progresos aca. Lo primero mi SAL de puntos especiales

I had stitched about 40% of the piece.  There will be a little of stumpwork on it, but I will stitch it at the end.
He bordado cerca de un 40% de la pieza. tendra un poco de bordado brazilero en ella pero sera lo ultimo que borde

I also stitched the little gift chart that the girls of my forum will receive when they finish this SAL.

Few months ago I started Isangel’s SAL in my traditional red. It didn’t  “click”  on me so about a week ago I restarted in White Monaco using this time HDF Primitive black. Now I’m soo happy with the result!!!
Hace unos meses atras Empece el SAL de Isangel en mi rojo tradicional. No me terminaba de convencer asi que lo reinicie en Monaco Blanco usando esta vez HDF Primitive Black. Ahora esta super contenta con el resultado!!!

Talking about SAL’s I couldn’t resist myself and started Mary’s W. I finished the first part just in time

Other thing that I was working on is on a couple of pieces that I made for an accessories set that I’ll be gifting for a dear friend.

My last pieces for today it will be a set for my niece, I create 5 of them and just finished the “baby”.  The chart for the little girl , as well as a close up, will be available on Wednesday.
Mi ultima pieza de hoy sera un conjunto para mi sobrinita, cree 5 de ellas y solo he hecho a  “la bebe”. El esquema de la nena asi como un acercamiento estara disponible el Miercoles.

Not bad for a month !!!

Forum’s work

As you can see in the right corner the site has a Forum, It’s managed by myself and four friends, because of that I can not say that I own it, it’s shared property ; ). Since I barely talk about it  today I want  to share a little of it with you. We are a little group (not even 50), very active and we never deny an entry petition (of course if you are a spammer the situation is different) but because we have a minimum participation rule a lot of people that enter left the group soon too :(. We have simple rules based mainly in respect and next month we will be celebrating our second anniversary, so  we must be doing something right!!

Como se puede ver en la esquina derecha la pagina tiene un foro, lo administramos entre 4 amigas y yo asi que no puedoi decir que es propio, es en propiedad conjunta, les cuento un poco de el. Somos un grupo  bastante activo, no le negamos la entrada a nadie (con la excepcion de los spamers) pero como exigimos un minimo de participacion por tanto lamentablemente muchas personas que se registran duran un mes o menos en el foro, nuestras reglas creo son sencillas, se basan en respeto a todo nivel, ya nuestro pequeño grupo (somos menos de 50) cumple dos años el proximo mes, asi que creo algo estamos haciendo bien!!

Let me show you what we do in our forum. I have talked about the Cheetah’s accessories set and Jemi’s SAL in my personal progress posts.  During almost a year we have been doing a Patch/cross stitch SAL , named Patch of your City “  Rosa , who has been teaching patch for over 20 years, shared her knowledge  with  her amazing tutorials and I did the charts for the cities of each one of the participants. By the end of April we are expecting to share with everybody the first quilts, but I want to show you what Rosa made with just the cities

Les muestro algo de lo que se hace en nuestro foro con el tema de los SAL’s. Ya les he hablado del SAL que organiza Jemi de un tema por mes mostrandoles mis avances asi como el de accesorios de cheetah. asi que hablemos de otras cosas  Durante ya un año hemos estado realizando una actividad en el foro Rosa y yo. La misma la titulamos patch de tu ciudad y creamos dos ediciones que estan terminando en conjunto en este momento. Rosa, que ha sido profe de patch por mas de 20 años compartio con todas nosotras sus conocimientos como solo una profesional podria hacerlo, yo puse a disposicion de cada una esquemas que cree para identificar sus ciudades,  en el proximo mes de abril espero poder compartir con todas las primeras mantas, pero no quiero dejar de pasar la ocasion para mostrar la manta que Rosa ya finalizo utilizando solo los  recuadros en  px. Miren que bello el trabajo que ella hizo,

During  January and February some of the girls  stitched a Country Style Four Seasons Sampler. This week we are voting for the best finished piece. The winner will be receiving  5 silks  threads. It is a very simple prize, but we are having fun with the polls!! here are some of the pictures.

Para el inicio del año algunas nenas bordaron 4 estaciones en estilo Country, esta semana estamos de sorteo dando premio al mejor acabado, el premio es muy sencillo, tan solo 5 madejas de seda HDF, pero estoy segura que todas la pasaremos genial votando por nuestra favorita.  Miren sus acabados

Creo que tendremos una eleccion reñida!!

By April 15 we will start a Specialty Stitch SAL. I designed a small piece with that purpose in order that we can practice different stitches and styles (with a total of 32) the estimated time of stitching it will be aproximately 5 months. If you want to do it with us  you are wellcome. The Forum is in spanish but we can acomodate an English area if it’s necesary. The only rule,  as always, is the commitment to participate. Bellow you can see a preliminary drawing ( colors are just a guide to indicate diferent areas)

Para el 15 de abril empezaremos un SAL/Curso de puntos especiales, he disenado una pequeña pieza en la que podremos practicar diferentes puntos y tecnicas (32 en total) durante un plazo de aproximadamente 5 meses. Todo aquel que desee intentar hacerlo con nosotras es bienvenido, nuestro foro es en castellano pero si hay gente que quiera participar en ingles con gusto sera bienvenida. La unica regla como siempre sera participacion. Aca un bosquejo preliminar de la pieza ( los colores son solo guias para separar los campos)
