Atalanta is in contention for striker Duvan Zapata, fit in time for an important game against leaders Inter Milan in mid-January.

Zapata was injured during the 0-0 draw with Genoa in Serie A on Tuesday. However, the latest reports have not been severely injured.

Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport has revealed that a test for Zapata’s left thigh is an initial injury. There isn’t any torn part. 

That makes the Colombia international, who has scored 12 goals in all trophies this season. It is likely that Christmas will be spent fully recovering to return in time for the crucial game against leaders Inter Milan on January 16. 

Atalanta kicks off the program in 2022 with a trip to Torino on January 6. A trip to Udinese on January 9 and a Coppa Italia trophy against WE. Nesia on January 12, before the opening of the “Inter Milan” battle
