Carragher predicts Man Utd will buy Palmer next year.

Former defender Jamie Carragher has predicted Manchester United will sign Chelsea winger Cole Palmer next summer.

The England international struggled to break into the first-team at Manchester City until joining the Blues last summer. And has been in scintillating form, scoring 25 goals and providing 15 assists in 45 appearances in all competitions. While also winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

Although Chelsea see Palmer as a key figure, Carragher believes it is possible for Palmer to leave if the club’s performances suffer this season, and it could happen as early as next summer.

“Something’s crossing my mind at the moment,” Carragher told The Overlap. “If Chelsea have another bad season, we spoke before about Manchester United having a real problem on the right wing.

“He (Palmer) is a big Man United fan, isn’t he? Why UFABET wouldn’t that be something United would do in 12 months if it wasn’t going to work out for the team?”

“You know what? I think it could happen, yeah, Cole Palmer goes to Man United.”

Palmer can operate on either flank as well as in the No 10 role. Bruno Fernandes currently has that position locked up at Man Utd. Though Palmer could theoretically play on one of the flanks before eventually taking Fernandes’ spot in central areas when the 29-year-old eventually moves on.

Of course, Chelsea would do everything within their power to prevent a player the calibre of Palmer from leaving.
